PERSPECTIVES
Taking images from a different perspective, for example, lower or higher angles, could reveal more elements in the background, whilst also changing the effect with the subject. For example, capturing an image from a higher perspective will eliminate other distractions
FINDING A GOOD SCENE
Finding an aesthetic and interesting background for street photography photographs will make an image appear more captivating. Most photographers will go for a minimalistic foreground,
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MOVEMENT
Taking advantage of movement will help with the story a photographer wants to tell, giving life to the main subject and the background elements.
RULE OF THIRDS
This is a common composition used in most photographic genres. This is dividing the image into three rows, nine parts and three columns. Placing points of interest into the intersections of the image will maximise the viewers impact and create a balanced image.
NEGATIVE SPACE
Incorporating less in an image will also gravitate the viewers attention to the main focal point in the frame, having no distracting element near the subject or in the foreground. It wont be revealing as much information as to where the photos being taken or what it is about.
INCLUDING TEXTURE
In the case of my independent project, a texture composition would have to include a background I chose to shot at. For example, this could be a wall that features patterns or
COLOURS
Even though I have planned on not using colour in my images, colour will always grab a persons attention, whether its vibrant or subtle. Colour can also show many types of emotions.
LEADING LINES
Looking for leading lines will clearly establish the main subject of the image, drawing the viewers eyes attention.
