Passive sentence

! The subject is the one affected by the action, and the

is the one who does the action.
Example: Pizza is eaten by him (Subject+ Passive verb + Object)
We use the passive when we don't know who performs the action or when the subject is not important to be highlighted or focused
Passive: Present simple
Subject (passive) + is/are +Verb in past participle
Example: The homework is done by him
Passive: Past simple
Subject (passive) + was/were + Verb in past participle
Example: The homework was done by him
Active sentence
Subject
is the one who does the action, and the object sometimes is affected by the action.
Example: He eats pizza (Subject+ Verb + Object)
We use active sentences to give the thing or person the focus.
