New constitution has enshrined equal rights of men and women UNICEF has invested 3 billion dollars to reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality
providing nutrition packages for pregnant women and also funding access to emergency obstetric & neonatal care. UNICEF us aslo funding mobile health units to access rural communities
2,050 midwives have been trained through UNICEF funded programs
USAID provided 100,000 micro-credit loans worth $85.7 to help women build their own businesses
