What was the League
League was an organization with universal vocation.
To promote international cooperation.
To help achieve international peace and security.
Disarmament preventing war through collective security.
Structure of the League
The General assembly the council the permanent secretariat.
41 members in total the four main members were Italy and France, Japan and Britain.
The League of Nations consisted of three organs which were the assembly, the council and the secretariat. They all had different jobs to do.
The Assembly, where all member states were represented on equal footing.
Strengths
Easy to supress smaller and violent countries
Collective security which means strengthen numbers.
Can trade between each other quickly and easily
more raw materials spread over all of the countries in the League
Weaknesses
The fact that it was set up by the Treaty of versallies.
The absence of major powers.
The lack of a millatary force
It had no army.
