Is there enough space in the market or CBS for a new company to sell or is there to much competition
Industrial linkage, are there any other industries which we can trade with to benefit ourselves and them and to form strong trading groups
Is there enough capital available to be developed
Is the town itself near primary sector industries, making it easy and cheap to buy and process goods and then sell them quickly
Silicon Valley despite mostly being a tertiary sector area has some secondary sector factories to produce microchips and so on
The amount of readily available labor in the area
Does this area have enough power to support the construction of factories
Physical factors
Land
Geography and features of the land
flat land
Flat makes it easier to construct fast transport routes such as roads and railways
Makes it easier to construct factories
Less susceptible to natural hazards
Cheap land
easier for companies to afford
Resource rich land
This will encourage secondary sector companies to build near this land as the transportation of the resources will be quick and cheap
Dammam has a lot of oil and its a short distance away from the oil refineries
