Creating a Plan
I want to purchase books in different languages
I have a long list of books that I want to purchase
I need to create a timetable or a measurable goal in which I can buy the books
I have a strong interest in languages, and I like reading books in them
I haven’t accomplished it yet, since I don’t want to buy the books and be able to read them. As for my first step, I'm reading books that I purchased a long time ago, and once I finish reading them (or if I’m almost finished reading), I plan to buy two books in two different languages after 2 months. That would be the timeline used to finish reading the books that I already have consistently.
There’s a lot to be done, and I’ll need to be patient. A good planner is required to maintain the amount of money I spend on the books, which is why I believe 2 months is enough time. An alternative solution, if there’s not enough money, would be to increase the timeline to 3–6 months.
Money could be a huge problem that can impact the goal that I am trying to reach.
As I stated previously, instead of buying 2 books after 2 months, I would move that to 3–6 months depending on the shortages.
Changing the timeline
Advantages
Discipline
Consistency
Flexibility
Disadvantages
Things will be slower
Buying a bunch of books at once, waiting for a whole year, and if the bundle is finished, repeat the process
Advantages
Saving easily
Fast learning
Disadvatanges
I may feel overwhelmed
I’ve decided that the first option would be the best one, which is purchasing books in different languages every two months, and the alternative would be 3 to 6 months. This is because if I choose the second option, I am likely to become overwhelmed, which I don’t want to happen.
I am successful if I start to comprehend reading in the respective language, and also if I can understand complex ideas in another language. I will also know If I’m doing great if I am achieving the list of books that I saved and when they are on the verge of finishing.
Time: Success will be measured if I am following the timeline I set for myself, and if I’m open to flexibility
Money: If I save and create a budget, I am most likely to achieve this goal
Reading: I can read complex words, understand the texts, and read or speak like a native, which means that I consistently purchased books and read them in a timely manner (which contributed to the knowledge obtained).
Choose one or more problems to implement: I use the alternative solutions I listed and think of new ones, just in case the plan isn’t successful.
