The study of food nutrients like Carbohydrates , proteins and lipids has taught me lessons about the role of nutrition in maintaining health and wellness.I have learnt that each nutrient serves specific functions in the body and that a balanced intake of carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids is crucial for my overall well being.With this information, I am to forever make informed dietary choices to support my physical and cognitive functions.I will make sure that what I eat is able to keep my immune system system strong and protected from diseases such as obesity , diabetes ,hypertension, and some of forms of cancer. For example, having healthy eating habits , eating nutritious whole foods like vegetables and fruits, and making sure I am intaking enough vitamins and minerals can keep my brain and body functioning at full capacity.(Wilson & Walker, 1997/2010)
