Process of how wool is made
The sheep are sheared when it gets hot in summer. Their wool is cut off to help keep them cool.
Wool grows to keep sheep warm and dry during winter.
The wool is collected and taken to a factory.
At the factory, the wool is cleaned and then, it is brushed (carded.)
The wool is then spun into yarn.
Uses of wool
Clothing: blankets, socks, sweaters, hats, gloves/mittens.
Carpets: helps to insulate a room
Crafts: making felt for art pieces
Insulation: used in building to keep heat in during winter and out during summer
