This artwork depicts a skull, and the photo is split in half; the left side consists of flowers and plants, which appear to be blooming on the back of the skeletons head. The significance of it being on the back of the skull represents that this change has not been made yet, but it is approaching. The right side is dark and dead, and this represents the currents struggles the person is facing (which is why its on the face area). The contrast of the 2 sides shows how the future will never be the same as the present, and change is real. However, this art can be perceives the opposite way, because it may seem like the positive things re changing into negatives, since the skull is facing the death side, which may represent the future.
Since this artwork is artificially generated, it isn't coming directly from the perception of a human artist, which makes it unique, however, it is so special how something inhuman can perfectly capture the idea of change. There are 3 steps in the process of change; the present, the transitioning period, and the future. It is interesting to see how a computer, who does not experience change like humans portrays this. The way it was portrayed was showing the present/future in colourful flowers/death, while showing the transition period between those in lightly coloured twigs. It is up to interpretation to the audience which side is the future and which is the present, because both work.
