climate and weather
weather
All weather is caused by one thing: the Sun heating Earth unevenly.
hot air rises and cold air replaces it:
wind
when it rises it cools and its condenses into tiny droplets
thousands these form our water droplets
the water can fall as hail sleet and snow
sun also makes the water from oceans evaporate:
wind vapour
this mixes with air around you
it can also become fog
this is the state of the atmosphere
Distance from the Equator is the main factor that dictates climate.
other factor effect such how high up the place is, how far from the coast, and where the winds blow from.
temperature read by a thermometer in c°
precipitation is measuerd by a rain gauge in mm or cm
presssure is measuerd by a barometer and is measured in millibars
the windspeed is measred in kmh by an anometer
stoms are caused by air masses that catch the hot air rising and they bring these in a new place
this weather system is a
depression
clouds
cumulus
fluffy
stratus
dull
cover the whole ski
cirrus: highest clouds that are made of ice
climate
This is the average of the weather in a place over a certain period of time
usually montly
All weather is caused by one thing: the Sun heating Earth unevenly.
Earth can be divided into different climate regions.
weather is so changable because of airmasses
