Ada Lovelace
What is their greatest accomplishment
Lovelace's notes are important in the early history of computers, especially since the seventh one contained what many consider to be the first computer program.
She also developed a vision of the capability of computers to go beyond mere calculating or number-crunching,
The computer language Ada, created on behalf of the United States Department of Defense, was named after Lovelace. The reference manual for the language was approved on 10 December 1980 and the Department of Defense Military Standard for the language, MIL-STD-1815, was given the number of the year of her birth.
What is the most difficult challenge
Lovelace was often ill, beginning in early childhood. At the age of eight, she experienced headaches that obscured her vision.[12] In June 1829, she was paralyzed after a bout of measles. She was subjected to continuous bed rest for nearly a year, something which may have extended her period of disability. By 1831, she was able to walk with crutches. Despite the illnesses, she developed her mathematical and technological skills.
Who was Ada Lovelace
Byron; 10 December 1815 – 27 November 1852) was an English mathematician and writer, chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. She was the first to recognise that the machine had applications beyond pure calculation.
She married William King in 1835. King was made Earl of Lovelace in 1838, Ada thereby becoming Countess of Lovelace.
When she was eighteen, her mathematical talents led her to a long working relationship and friendship with fellow British mathematician Charles Babbage, who is known as "the father of computers".
Lovelace died at the age of 36 on 27 November 1852, from uterine cancer.

Who is Linus Torvals :
Bill Gates
What is their greatest accomplishment
He best known for co-founding the software giant Microsoft. officially registered the trade name "Microsoft" with the Secretary of the State of New Mexico on November 26, 1976. Gates never returned to Harvard to complete his studies. He is the founder and chairman of several companies, including BEN, Cascade Investment, TerraPower, bgC3.
What is the most difficult challenge
Gates's best friend and first business partner was Kent Evans, end of their junior year, Evans was killed in a mountain climbing accident, which Gates has described as one of the saddest days of his life.
Despite his success, Gates faced challenges and controversies throughout his career. Microsoft's antitrust battles with the U.S. government and criticisms of the company's business practices were significant hurdles. However, Gates' resilience and adaptability allowed him to overcome these obstacles.
who was Bill Gates
William Henry Gates born October 28, 1955 is an American businessman, investor, and writer. He was born and raised in Seattle, Washington
Since 1987, Gates has been included in the Forbes list of the world's billionaires. He has donated sizable amounts of money to various charitable organizations and scientific research programs through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
He was a National Merit Scholar when he graduated from Lakeside School in 1973. He enrolled at Harvard College in the autumn of 1973 and graduate level computer science courses.
While at Harvard, he met fellow student and future Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. In 1975 Gates and Allen started their own computer software company and Gates dropped out of Harvard that same year
Charles Babbage
What is their greatest accomplishment
Babbage is considered by some to be "father of the computer, He is credited with inventing the first mechanical computer, the Difference Engine. Babbage's machines were among the first mechanical computers.
From 1828 to 1839, Babbage was Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge. He was elected a Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1832
In 1838, Babbage invented the pilot (also called a cow-catcher).he also constructed a dynamometer car and an ophthalmoscope
During the Crimean War of the 1850s, Babbage broke Vigenère's autokey cipher as well as the much weaker cipher that is called Vigenère cipher today.[139] His discovery was kept a military secret, and was not published.
What is the most difficult challenge
Babbage's machines were among the first mechanical computers. That they were not actually completed was largely because of funding problems and clashes of personality, most notably with George Biddell Airy, the Astronomer Royal. also the biggest problem which stymied him was the lack of a precision metal industry
who was Charles Babbage
Charles Babbage 26 December 1791 – 18 October 1871 was an English polymath. A mathematician, philosopher, inventor and mechanical engineer, Babbage originated the concept of a digital programmable computer.
Babbage was one of four children of Benjamin Babbage and Betsy Plumleigh Teape. Babbage arrived at Trinity College, Cambridge, in October 1810.In 1812, Babbage transferred to Peterhouse, Cambridge. He was the top mathematician there, but did not graduate with honours.
On 25 July 1814, Babbage married to Georgiana Whitmore. Charles and Georgiana had eight children
he died, at the age of 79, on 18 October 1871. Half of Babbage's brain is preserved at the Hunterian Museum in the Royal College of Surgeons in London. The other half of Babbage's brain is on display in the Science Museum, London.
John von Neumann
What is their greatest accomplishment
By 1927, von Neumann He succeeded in proving the consistency of a fragment of arithmetic of natural numbers, He was the first to axiomatically define an abstract Hilbert space. also he founded the field of game theory as a mathematical discipline. He proved his minimax theorem in 1928
Von Neumann was a founding figure in computing, with significant contributions to computing hardware design, to theoretical computer science to scientific computing, and to the philosophy of computer science. Von was the inventor, in 1945, of the merge sort algorithm . he held eight honorary doctorates.
Von Neumann pioneered game theory and also he was one of the conceptual inventors of the stored-program digital computer.
What is the most difficult challenge
In 1955, a mass was found near von Neumann's collarbone, which turned out to be cancer originating in the skeleton, pancreas or prostate. he remained terrified of death and unable to accept his circumstances. He died on February 8, 1957
who was John Neumann
He was born in Budapest on December 28, 1903 to a wealthy Jewish family. Von Neumann was a child prodigy who at six years old could divide two eight-digit numbers in his head and converse in Ancient Greek.
He graduated as a chemical engineer from ETH Zurich in 1926, On November 17, 1938, von married Klara Dan.
He was a Hungarian and American mathematician, physicist, computer scientist, engineer and polymath. He knew Hungarian, French, German and English fluently, and maintained a conversational level of Italian, Yiddish, Latin and Ancient Greek.
Steve Jobs
What is their greatest accomplishment
He best known for co-founding the technology giant Apple Inc. Jobs was also the founder of NeXT and chairman and majority shareholder of Pixar. He was a pioneer of the personal computer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s, along with his early business partner and fellow Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
In 2003, Jobs was diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor. He died of respiratory arrest related to the tumor in 2011, and in 2022, was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
What is the most difficult challenge
Steve Jobs faced many challenges in his life. Some of the challenges he faced were not being wanted by his birth parents, struggling with Pancreatic Cancer, and getting fired from the company that he created. Jobs, however, overcame these challenges, and led the world into a new era of technology.
who was Steve Jobs
Steven Paul Jobs was born in San Francisco in February 24,1955 and adopted shortly afterwards. He was an American businessman, inventor, and investor.
He attended Reed College in 1972 before withdrawing that same year.
