Event product is not just the actual physical (or virtual) event. Should include event experiences that attendees would ideally undergo.
(E.g., Concert, the main product is the artiste but audiences don't just attend to watch the artiste, they pay for experiences of stage set up, showmanship, accompanying dancers, autograph sessions, etc. / Trade show, participants expect networking sessions, breakout sessions with customers, media interviews)
Experiences can be passive (e.g., visual aesthetic of the stage) or active and participative (e.g., autograph sessions with artiste, fan meet ups)
Experience use all 5 senses > event managers need to understand why attendees want to attend their events and built-in features/activities that enable them to do so
