Mother is a well dressed tiefling named Zoey. She's the best chef in town.
The child is a half dwarf tiefling named Samantha. She's an active child who likes playing outside.
With a perception check they will notice tall masculine clothing in an open closet.
Father used to work at the town church but they divorced last year and he moved away.
Everyone except that player will be asked to go outside. Get a knife, paper plate and cutting board.
The player will see a monster with a human head and a long snaking neck reaching out from the church towards a helpless man paralyzed by fear.
The creature's skin is a sickly pale grey-white that seems clammy to the touch. There are two empty black pits above a sharp nose where its eye would be.
As its head approaches the victim its lower jaw drops two feet down revealing fist-sized human teeth and a long snake-like tongue.
Starting from the top it gobbles the man down in two bites. It then looks at you and begins to sing an eerie droning song. As it does this, your vision becomes staticky and your memory and perception of this monster begin to fade, along with the fear. Which is replaced with empty numbness.
Before your perception and memory of this event fade completely you have 10 seconds to leave yourself a message.
If they want more time they can mentally push themselves to fight against the song, sacrificing some of their sanity.
They can get 1 extra second per 10 psychic damage, resulting in convulsions from the mental trauma.
