- - - - As people invested, investors noticed that the price of the stocks were getting extremely high and thought it would be a good time to sell with hopes of them dropping down for repurchase again
        
        This then caused the stock market to go into a steep downslide and everyone wanted to sell
        
        Everybody would sell there stocks but nobody wanted to buy them
        
        This lead to the price dropping by a significant amount
- - - - 60% of all american familes earned less then $2,000 a year.
        
        As workers lost their jobs people stoped buying goods.
        
        Why might Americans have been buying less in the years preceding the stock market crash?
        
        Because they did not have the money.
