Mendel's Laws
Law of Dominance: In a heterozygote, the dominant trait will conceal the recessive trait. Instead of both traits contributing to the characteristic, only the dominant one does.
Law of Segregation: Each parent contributes only one allele to their offspring. Or they can only contribute one part, like an egg or a sperm.
Law of Independent Assortment: This law states that the allele inherited from one gene does not influence any other gene. For example, blue eyes do not correlate with inheriting red hair. They are all independent.

Karyotypes/Chromosomes
A karyotype chart is used to see the full lineup of chromosomes that a person has in their body. They can used to be a person's sex and any chromosomal diseases they might have.
You can tell from a karyotype if someone has Down Syndrome because they would have an extra copy of chromosome 21.
In order to know whether Turner's Syndrome is present, there would only be one X chromosome instead of two, with only 45 chromosomes instead of 46
. For Klinefelter’s Syndrome, people usually have one extra X chromosome, summing up to 47 chromosomes.
