A new revolution in science.
Albert Einstein was a German born scientist that had new theories on space, time, energy, and matter.
He created the theory of relativity.
Sigmund Freud was an austrian scientist.
He was a scientist that treated others with phycological problems and had came up with new ideas of how the brain worked
He believed human behavior is irrational and believed there is a unconscious part of the brain which lead to the irrational decisions

Literature in the 1920s
People started writing about modernism and expressionism because of fears of the future.
T.S. Eliot wrote that Western society had lost its spiritual values. People described life as dark.
Writers described life as uneasy.
People turned to existentialism. These people believe that there is no meaning to life. People create meaning through their actions and decisions.
