During the battle, Macbeth and Banquo are praised for their bravery.
Macbeth becomes the Thane of Cawdor for his bravery. Banquo is lesser but greater, not as happy, but happier, he will have a line of kings in his family but he won't be one.
The witches greet Macbeth as Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and the king here after.

King Duncan arrives in Inverness. "This castle hath a pleasant seat. The air nimbly and sweetly recommends itself unto our gentle senses."

Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft. The goddess is upset at the three witches because they interfered with Macbeth.

Lady Macbeth is hallucinating blood on her hands as she is feeling guilty of the killing of King Duncan. "Out, damned spot."
