(1) make patients your first concern
facilities, equipment and resources are available

in emergency, consider all available options, benefits and risks to the provision of best care
(3) show respect for others
accept diversity and respect cultural differences/opnions
treat fairly
explain and may refer to other provider if their beliefs prevents them from service
treat politely, be compassionate and considerate.
respect and protect their dignity, privacy and confidentiality
provide appropriate levels of privacy for patient consultations
obtain consent for professional services provided
obtain consent for use of information in professional practice course
use of social media and electronic pharmacy information system is consistent with ethical and legal obligation
support environment issues on safe disposal of drugs and related products
maintain proper professional boundaries in relationships with patient during professional practice course
(7) Be Responsible of Your Working Practices
Consider getting professional indemnity to cover all their work, or work that they are responsible for.
Ensure only medicines and health related products that are safe, effective and of good quality being supplied.
Assure that all standard operating procedures are up to date and are being followed.
Make sure that there is an effective complaints procedure and issues are being addressed properly.
Obey the laws, regulations, standards and policies of the profession.
Display a standard of behaviour that warrants the trust and respect of the community.
Take responsibility for all their professional activities, and for all activities undertaken under their direct supervision.
Not advertise, directly or indirectly, for promoting their professional advantage, professional skills, knowledge or services other than permitted by legislation.
Actively participate and contribute to the development, education and training of colleagues and students, and share their skills, knowledge and expertise.
Demonstrate leadership, teamwork and compassion in workplace.
Practise only if they are fit to do so.
(5) Develop your professional knowledge and competence
Apply knowledge and skills appropriately to their practice.
Recognise the limitations of knowledge, skills and practise only in the areas which they are competent.
Keep their knowledge and skills up to date and relevant to maintain and improve the quality of practice.
Regularly monitor and reflect on their knowledge, skills and practice to undertake further education and training if necessary.
Keep and maintain up-to-date record of their continuing professional development.
(4) encourage patients to participate in decision about their care
work together in partnership to manage their treatment. listen to patients and respect their choices
ensure that information is appropriately shared with other healthcare providers involved in the care
communicate effectively with patients and take reasonable measures to meet their communication needs
provide information on the medicine to help patients improve their compliance
explain options available to patients to help them make informed decisions
consider and take reasonable actions to address those factors that may prevent patients from getting their treatment
ensure that any service provided to person who cannot legally make decision is in line with the appropriate requirements.
(6) Be ethical, honest and trustworthy
Act with honesty, integrity and do not compromise or abuse their position to secure and maintain public trust and confidence in their profession.
Not exploit the vulnerability or lack of knowledge of others when providing or recommending services.
Recognise and endeavour to avoid conflicts of interest and declare any personal or professional interests they have.
Ensure accurate and impartial information for publication, teaching or providing services.
Respond openly, honestly and courteously to complaints and criticism.
Not discredit other healthcare professionals during their professional service.
Uphold the sanctity of human life in any pharmaceutical research carried out on human beings.
