Reflecting and evaluating
Feelings
I thought that the majority of the results from the personality tests were expected as I am well aware that i am creative and a more turbulent individual based on how i work around my tasks within college and education
Some of the results from my peers were unexpected. Whilst I had expected for my improvements to be based around leadership and optimism, I had not expected the majority of responders to judge my communication skills as one of my strenghts
I was surprised by the accuracy of the careers quiz, whilst the results were similar to the interests that I have for possible future career paths other career tests that i had taken in the past had not reflected this.
Evaluation
Both the personality and peer responses show that I possess creative skills, I have been able to apply these skills within many different situations, such as when I needed to explore different ways to evoke a specific theme within my art coursework and when i needed to create my own crochet pattern to use for a gift.
It is also made evident through the results that I am organised and have great skills with managing my tasks, an example of this is when I needed to apply time management skills in order to complete my GCSE coursework and revision on time.
I thought that these tests had a positive outcome as I have been able to discover new skills that I possess without knowing which would be great to include within a CV. However it also arose some skills that I lack and need to work on, but this allows me to reflect on different ways that I could approach tackling this.
Description
I thought that the results of the personality tests were an accurate reflection of myself based on my strengths and where would need improvement.
The career tests were specifically accurate as they highlighted careers and other options that would be suitable for me which is supported by the results of my other personality tests, they were also accurate towards the things that i enjoy and paths that i am currently considering
I thought that some of the results from the peer review quiz were accurate. However, some of these results opposed to my previous knowledge of my strengths and the result of my personality tests
Analysis
I feel as though my need to work on teamwork skills would take an effect on me within the future and even now. Despite being able to work sufficiently independently, I need to improve my ability to work within groups otherwise this may restrict deadlines not being met within the workplace or it may result in me not being able to work towards something bigger due to lack of connections.
I think that my creativity skills will be able to open up a range of different opportunities for myself, it not only allows me to contribute within creative occupations but also within different kinds of working environments. For example I would be able to offer creative solutions and insights they others may not be able resolve from their own perspective which would allow me to collaborate with others ideas, this would also benefit my social skills within my education.
Action plan
From the feedback of the personality tests I think that I could start to make an effort to put myself into situations where I would work within a team as this is something that I usually avoid out of preference for individual work
I could also try to view a situation from a more positive perspective, whilst it may be admirable to have a realistic perspective as this would also benefit my motivation to complete tasks and work towards goals
Conclusion
I think that there are also a number of other personality traits and skills that i could work on in order to fulfil my educational experience and to open up further opportunities in the future, such as;
Critical thinking
Confidence
Optimism
Applying judgment to situations
managing emotions
