ovary- hold and developes egg
uterus- hold the baby and has 3 layers
Endometrium- inner most layer
Myometrium- middle layer
perimetrium- outer most layer
fimbrae- helps guide egg to fallopian tube
cervix- opening of uterus to vagina
falliopian tube- tube that egg travels thru to the uterus
Vagina- female sex organ
fornix- area between cervix and vagina
Events of the female hormonal cycles
Follicle develpment
ovulation- dropping of the egg, egg is no longer in ovary
luteal phase- corpus lecteum replaces the egg and degenerates
follicular phase- developement of the follicle/egg
uterine lining
proliferation phase- days 5-14
ovulation- day 14
Menstural phase- days 1-5
secretory phase- day 14-28

Diseases
Genital Herpes- has painful sores, no cure, transmitted thru all sex
Trichomoniasis- mild irratation, antibiotics, sex
AIDS/HIV- fever or abdominal pain, blood semen and vaginal fluids, no cure
PID- pain fever discharge, sex, antibiotics
Infections
Chlamydia- genital pain and discharge, sex, no cure
Gonorrhea- burning yellow/green discharge and testicular pain, all sex, treatments

penis- consists of glands penis (head of penis) and corpus cavernosum (the rest of it ) male sex organ
