Interim Judgment
This factor was important as it proved the idea that the German peole accepted the Nazi ideals and it shows their popularity. However this could only happen on a large scale because of Hindenburgs folly.
Interim Judgemnt
Although Hitler managed to embody the values of the Nazis it wasn't the ultimate reason for their rise to power. If Hindenburg didn't try and control Hitler their wouldn't have been a majority and therefore no Nazi power.
Conclusion
Although there were many various factors which could have been attributed to the rise to power of the Nazis the main reason was the acts of Hindenburg - he thought that he could keep Hitler in line and underestimated him greatly and so he essentially gave Hitler the environement to overthrow his remaining opposition.
