Model for democracy

Les Républicains is one of the largest political parties in France, it is a party that encompasses a fairly broad range of political opinion, including traditional conservatives, social liberals, and also a Thatcherite or neo-conservative right. (2024,Political)

Emmanuel Macron, president of France since 2017, stands in the centre ground of politics.

The movement called 'En Marche' allowed support to both men and women of the Macron cross-party and these groups were also supportive to France's President: The Socialists, The Modem, The Green and The Republicans.


Following the presidential win by Macron, the next goal was to ensure a majority in the French Parliament, without the help from current political party. Thanks for the help from En Marche movement, La Republique en Marche (LREM), a new centrist political party was born. Later, in 2022 the name was change to Renaissance.


In 1969, on the left, Parti Socialiste (Socialist Party (PS) a main party was create.Their beliefs are nationalisations, they have a strong welfare stat and particioative democracy.

Another main party of the centre left is Europe Ecologie Les Verts, or the Green Party.

Once attracting over 20% of voters in French elections, the PC now attracts less than 5%. (2024,Political)

Language

French is know of the language of love, with over 70 million residents speaking.

Food

France is know as the food capital; and socialising is a part of the culture during large meals. The french are very expressive and passionate about their cuisine. boeuf bourguignon and ratatouille are some example of French cuisine.

Art

Paris is known as Fasion capita and " home to numerous highend fasion houses including Chanel, Chanel, Christian Dior, Hermes and Louis Vuitton... Typical outfits include demure flowy dresses, well-cut suits, long coats, scarves and berets.(Europe, 2022)".

Art is a big part of their culture;esecially in Paris.There is not escaping art; posters of high fasion models are hung from building. "Gothic, Renaissance, Romanesque Rococo and Neoclassic influences can be seen in many churches and public buildings, mixed in with somef modern architecture (Europe, 2022)." Some of the arists are Clasude Monet, Edgar Degas , and Camille Pissarro. Dont forget to spot in Paris and visit the world largest Museum the Louvre.
