Students exhibit a range of behaviours during class time that present a range of learning opportunities for staff and students
In conversation with my mentor, many students in his teaching allotment live with neurodivergence
His process of differentiation begins with instruction (how else can I describe), presentation (how else can I show) and task (how else can I assess/show the student)
Tapping into their personal context (through established or questioned knowledge) to build connections that assist differentiation
-
Norms
Assessing the standard school procedure/communal practices to ensure consistent messaging - "if we all do it/say it, the message is clear, as are the expectations"
