Mutual Intelligibility
AI should exert the majority of the effort in communicative situations in order to be understood; the student should not.
Language
The AI should be able to adapt and to the language choices of the user rather than imposing its own academic one, hindering understanding and a language disparity
AI should be open to all - or most - languages which it might encounter
Translanguaging
The language of instruction is, and should not be, an easy choice, especially when working inside of multilingual communities. The framing of knowledge in one language should be cautioned against. Rather, the chaos between languages might be a better tool, one which an AI might do best with.

Learning Styles
The AI should be able to test and understand the individual student that it is working with and how they best absorb and understand
"Active Learning"
One of the biggest benefits of AI is that it has the ability to work one on one with thousands of students at a time, as such - unlike normal instruction - it should constantly be gauging for understanding
"Group Learning"
Group learning is not something AI could replicate, rather it would best be supplemented by one's education in the real world, unfortunately
One of the big benefits of AI would be its ability to present information in a wide variety of ways depending on the individual using it
Bias
Data Set
It would be impossible to create a completely objective AI - that being said, the AI should do its best to be free of an overly explicit bias
The AI should be able to educate and give appropriate feedback regardless of who is interacting with it; not to mention, the data which it presents should be vetted and kept relatively free of harmful or potentially dangerous information
