male:

female:
uterine tubes(usual site of fertilization)
userus(recieve,retain, a nourish fertilized ovum)
vagina(brith canal, passageway for menstrual flow, organ copulation)
ovaries(female gonads that produce gametes-ova- & secrete sex hormones estrogen & progesterone
mammary glands(milk production to nourish newborn)

LH(gonadotrophin release from anterior pitutary gland)

ovarian cycle:monthly series of events associated w/ maturation of egg
ovulation occurring mid cycle between two phases follicular phase(period of vesicle follicle growth day 1-14) luteal phase(period of corpus lute activity days 14-28).
menstrual cycle:
days 1-15 menstrual phase(ovarian hormones low level, gonadotrpins level rise)days 6-14 proliferative phase(rising estrogen, thins out cervical mucus)days15-28(endometrium preps for embryo implant, most consistent)
