Xiaogu (pinyin: xiǎo gǔ) is a musical instrument of the Zhuang, Dong, Yi, Tujia and other ethnic groups. Popular in Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Hubei, Hunan and other provinces. Snare drums are mostly used in the folk, and are used during Chinese New Year.
