Beef: cattle farming is extensive in Argentina and a large export. Most restaurants have meat grills.

Football: there are two large teams in Rosario and the sport is very popular in the city. Lionel Messi was born in Rosario.
Challenges:
Unemployment: many of the city’s traditional industries, including chemical and steel plants, closed in 2000 and unemployment was high. This lead to riots. The situation has improved.
