Commitment & Perseverance
Commitment and perseverance was important during my summer training plan as I had to stay committed in order to not go off my plan and to stay on track. As there would be often moments in which we would relax or do something more fun yet I still wanted follow my training plan therefore I would have to mke time for my training even if we where doing something slightly different that day.
Which was most difficult to achieve? Why? An example
The most difficult one was commitment and perseverance as it is such a mental thing it be able to stick to somehting. It is something which I have never found extmrelty hard yet I am often committed to doing things and to not quitting them yet in the sceniraio which I was with in my summer training plan made it much harder. As I would often be having fun with friend to then having to go train so I can follow my plan yet I was able to stick it but with a lot of difficulty.
What challenges did you face in CAS? How did you overcome these challenges? Add an example in the presentation.
A challenge which I faced was being able to follow my training plan consistently as there was often periods in which there would be alot of work therefore it would meaning sometimes I would have a harder time being able to fit in workouts into my schedule. With there even being occasions where I would not be able to causing for me to miss out on workouts.
Global Engagement
My global engagement came from my chair training this being as we learned about different cultures, and how to be chair and delegate debates between different cultures and countries. As culture has a large impact often on policial views in countries therefore we in a sense learned how to show these political views and behavoirus on a smaller scale. Therefore engaging everyoen in a more international and global sense as we would indirectly learn about culture and traditions within countries. Additionally about how to debate more sensitive topics between different cotunries and cultures in a respectful manner, allowing us to become better global citizens.
Strength & Growth
Strength and growth I had achieved through my year gym training plan, as I had both physical and mental growth doing it. This being as going to the gym is a great help with getting the mind off school work and stress therefore it allowed me to grow mentally alot as it helped me create a good attitude towards aspects in my life such as school. Then physcially I also had growth as I was training and creaitng more muscle and loosing fat therefore I became also stronger and had growth in that sense.
Challenge & Skills
Some of the challenges which I had faced was in my photography as I had to learn how to capture certain things, such as specific details or then emotions. Especially in the start as it was hard to understand how different perspectives and angles can be used. Yet the more photography I did the more I learned, subsequently allowing me to create skills in these topics.
Collaborative Skills
Collaboration was important in the ski film as everyone wanted to give ideas and to help out. Therefore in order to be able to communicate and to create plans all together we needed to collaborate. This meaning that we would need to decide as a group when we would do what and which ideas we would use based on whether they worked for the film or not.
Which of the learning outcomes did you find the most easy to achieve? An example
The one which I found the easiest to achieve was collaborative skills as it comes naturally. In social settings and group projects we naturally devleoped collaborative skills, furthermore collebraiton and communication is something which comes to me naturally therefore I found it much easier to accomplish than other ones. An example would be on the ski film, as we would no matter what complete this leanring outcome and it also came very naturally and there wasnt much challenges with it.
What was the best experience of collaboration during CAS? What have you learned in working in collaboration with others?
I have learned a lot about being open minded to others idea and about not always having to be in charge in the sense that if someone has a better understanding of osmething than I do then they should be incharge of that specific thing. With it then also taking in others ideas. Although this was not a massive problem yet I found it to be the biggest out of the ones we faced why for example making the ski film. As it is impotant to have everyone involved and to make sure that everyone is able to contribute.
Initiative & Planning
Having Initiative and planning was extremely improtant in our ski film. This being as someone needed to take initiative for the work which we had done in the sense that one of us had to take charge in a sense. I felt as if I had often taken this role, not at all times as I we based inntiatve on certain aspects based on who was the most skilled in it. Yet for things such as the shots being taken, then ones used and the action in the shots I was largely responsible and a part off. Then in terms of planning it intertwines with initiative as I had to plan what we would do on specific days so that we could stay with a schedule and a specific routine.
Ethics of Choices & Actions
Cleaning up humlegården was largely intertwined with the learning outcome of ethics of choices and actions as it taught us about the choices we make and the actions which we need to take. As we chose to clean up humlegården and the action of doing that then had a positive impact on the environment. Then the choice or action to not throw trash on the ground caused for us to have once again a positive impact as we would decrease the problem from its roots.
What was your most fulfilling experience and why? Add this in your presentation.
The most fulfilling experience was cleaning up humlegården as it allowed me to make a direct impact on stockholm. Furthermore the change was something which I noticed as humlegården is a place in which we with friends often come to play football, therefore it was rewarding to see that the environment in which we hangout is cleaner.
What were some of your initial CAS goals? (CAS profile) Did you manage to reach your goals?
Some of the initial goals which I had were to be able to go to the gym consistently for the whole first year of the dp. In which I had set up the training plan into 2 separate parts. One for gaining muscle, the other for cutting fat and showing more definition. Then the one which I had set for a creatvitiy concentrated expriences was making a ski film with my friend of that specific season. Then lastly my service concentrated one was to clean up djurgåren consistently in order ot make the stockholm community generally safer and cleaner. I was able to accomplish all of these and to be able to do them to a good extent, by cleaning up a park once a week, going to the gym weekly and strictly following the plan, and then lastly as a group we where able to finish the ski film to the best of our ability. The only thing which I was not able to follow was the location of my clean up, I had originally planned on cleaning up djurgården yet due to it being such a big part with many sections it would be near impossible to make a large difference without a larger group of people there we decided to clean up humlegården as it was another park which was important for the stockholm community. Additionally it the area to cover is much smaller therefore the difference we can make is larger in ratio.
What have you learned from doing CAS? What skills and abilities did you develop most significantly in CAS? Check your Learner attributes in your initial CAS profile document (two) and include these in your presentation.
There is a large number of skills and abilities which I have learned from CAS. Yet I feel as if the biggest concentration on improving my skills has been on my photography and general film skills. With this then directly impacting learner attribtures such as being open-minded and thinker. This being as film and photography has led me to being more opened minded in different ideas which different people have had when working on group projects such as my ski film cas project. Then in terms of being a thinker in order to get good photos in terms of being able to capture the backstory and to get good shots for the film we need to think abourt every detail. Thighs such as the action in the shot, the lighting, the angle, being able to capture emotion and much more.
