MACBETH
ACT 1, SCENE 1
we don't meet macbeth at first, we only hear him being mentioned by the weird sisters. this immediately links Macbeth to the supernatural before we even get to meet him ,which foreshadows a connection to unnatural and evil spirits further on in the play
ACT 1, SCENE 2
he is known as
'brave Macbeth'
by his people, as he had his
'brandished steel which smoked with bloody execution'
due to the amount of people he kills he is described to have
'unseamed him from the nave to the chops'
after hearing about the betrayal of the previous Thane of Cawdor, Duncan made Macbeth the new Thane of Cawdor
'what he hath lost, noble Macbeth hath won.
Macbeth gained the title of the Thane of Cawdor, the old one lost it as he was a traitor, as said by Duncan
ACT 1, SCENE 3
The weird sisters meet with Macbeth and Banquo, where they tell each man their prophecies :

after this Macbeth demands to be told more, implying he thinks that he has the power / strength to control the supernatural Ross and Angus then tell Macbeth that he has been made Thane of Cawdor, which matches the second prophecy made by the witches Macbeth is surprised that the weird sisters' predictions were true, but Banquo warns him that they may be leading him to evil. despite this, Macbeth begins to think about murdering King Duncan

ACT 2, SCENE 1
Macbeth hallucinates a bloody dagger in front of him,
'is this a dagger which i see before me'
he realises that he is seeing things and says that it is
'a dagger of the mind'
, suggesting he is aware that he is hallucinating, then Macbeth leaves to go to kill King Duncan
ACT 2, SCENE 2
Lady Macbeth has drugged the guards / attendants, then Macbeth returns with the two bloody daggers. She is shocked that he took the daggers back with him, so she had to go and return them
after she gets back they hear a bell and have to wash the blood from their hands. Macbeth is already regretting what he has done when he says
'will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood clean from my hand? no
ACT 2, SCENE 3
Macbeth brings Macduff to Duncan knowing he is dead, whilst Lennox is describing the crazy events of the night. When Macduff discovers the body he is horrified, he says
'Oh horror! Horror! Horror!
Macbeth acts shocked by the news
