Social media can have negative impacts on people's reputation.
The media often portrays people stereotypically and does this seamlessly, and without remorse.
Social media in doing this can miss key information and throw people's cultures under the bus.
Stereotypes are often inaccurate and barely scratch the surface and social media spreads these false truths.
Stereotypes stem from self-selected beliefs also known as confirmation bias.
Stereotypes arise through groups which could also be called racism.
Stereotypes are taught and learned from other people you live with or are friends with.
