The ruler who led them in battles name was Saul, and he became the first king of Israel
once the Israelites reached Canaan, they had to fight the people living there to gain control of it.
The king after Saul was David, who was loved by his people and made the capital Israel
Davids son Solomon then became king when he died, and he expanded his kingdoms territories
When Solomon died in 930 BC, revolts broke out over who should be king, and so Isreal split into 2 kingdoms, Judah and Israel

In 160s BC a Jewish family called the Maccabees led a successful revolt, They gained their own independence an king but was then conquered by the Romans in 63 BC.
The Romans applied their own priestess for the temple, and this angered the Jews.

Abraham
Israelites moved to Egypt because of a famine in Canaan, where they thrived, but the Pharaoh was frightened by their population and so then enslaved them
Abraham Then settled in Canaan and had his descendants, the Israelites

Abraham was told by god to leave his home in Mesopotamia, and was promised that he and his descendants would make a mighty nation.

God told Moses to bring the Israelites out of Egypt, and so Moses doing this is called the Exodus
While bringing the Israelites out of Egypt, Moses received 2 stone tablets with 10 laws on them called The Ten Commandments while atop a mountain from god
Moses demanded that the slaves be free, and if they don't god would send plagues and natural disasters to Egypt

In 630, the Mecca's accepted Islam as their religion
Muhammad worked at a wealthy caravan company before marrying the owner and receiving a message from an angel

Muhammad's house became the first mosque, or building for Muslim prayer

In the Quran it is taught that there is only one god, the Allah and Muhammad is the prophet
The Quran teaches that those who follow gods teachings will go to paradise on the final day of the world
