Green City Scheme
What?
The Green City Scheme is a scheme trying to make more green spaces in Rosario. This is done by planting trees among all new housing, flood-risk zones being built up with food crops, community groups were given tools and seeds to create community gardens. There are over 800 community gardens supporting over 40,000 people.
Why?
The Green City Scheme is doing this to try and make Rosario more sustainable and a better vibe and more community cohesion. One example of trying to increase community cohesion is the setting up of community gardens. Statistics show that over 800 community gardens have been created helping over 40,000 people by earning income from their involvement, as well as learning new skills.
Impact
One impact the Green City Scheme has had on the world is that many other cities have looked at copying this due to its many benefits. This is good for Rosario as it increases its popularity.
Sustainable tourism
Impact
The impact of this would be that it is attracting people from a wide range of country's, which is a big source of the money coming into the city.
Why?
Argentina is a growing tourist destination and attract people from a wide area. The city is making the most of its many attractions and adding tourism as one of its functions and main sources of income. Rosario is attracting those who wish to learn Spanish, with a growing range of collages and courses for overseas students who can study in the city.
What?
The city has a range of physical attractions, including the waterfront and some of the buildings which have been built over the years.
