Emotional support when she is feeling overwhelmed, especially with her other children were present in the house

Uses senior care centre to manage being on her own, as this is the only time she has to do something for herself (i.e., go for a walk or hike)

Meaningful Relationships
It is important for Martina to have an emotional connection and happy moments with Helmut regardless of diagnosis
Continuing relationships and support from daughter and son, as it is emotional and difficult to discuss. It's important that Martina is there to support them as well (i.e., trying to make life as normal as possible for the family)

Being a full-time caregiver for Helmut can limit Martina's financial means as she does not have enough time to devote to a full-time job.

Physical Assistance
Assistance required performing hygiene and daily activities (i.e., brushing teeth, getting dressed eating)
No longer has the ability consistently communicate what he’s thinking or feeling, requires Martina to understand his communication patterns/mannerisms.
Requires assistance with mobility related tasks (i.e., getting out of a car)

Assistance with long-term memory (i.e., Martina using old photo albums to jog Helmut's memory
keeping Helmut occupied to provide normal routines into his life (i.e., watching a nature documentary and playing Yahtzee)
