The former capital of the Roman empire and a very rich area. Concurred by the Ottoman Empire in 1453 and leading the Byzantine empire to fall.
Justinian I
An emperor of the Byzantine Empire during 527-565. People say he helped grow the military there as well as the territory.
Hagia Sophia
A Byzantine Dome that was originally a Christian church but changed into multiple things such as a mosque, a museum, and a monument.
Eastern Orthodox Church
The second largest Christian church. The Orthodox Churches follow a bit of a different religion Christianity but they are very similar.

A time in the Byzantine Empire where the use of religious images were prohibited.

A military system specifically for farmer-soldiers that would give them land, it was believed to be a big aid for the Empire
