Shopping, residents and visitors have good opportunities for shopping in El Centro: the central mall area. This is an area which has undergone investment and now attracts young people and families alike.
Rosario has rail, river and air transport links which have helped it develop as an important industrial centre within the region.
Regional Transport hub for a number of major roads. This includes the Aramburu Highway and the Highway Ernesto 'Che' Guevara.

On one of the largest and busiest waterways in the world. The associated dockside development meant that is was a key point for the import and export of agricultural products.

Lies on the Paraná River. This river flows into the Atlantic and is the second longest river in South America after the Amazon. The city is only around 40m above sea level, and this moderates its climate compared with other cities.
The City is made up of 6 districts, each very different.

Around the year 2000, many of the city's chemical and steel plants had closed and unemployment was high. The city's fortunes have improved dramatically since that time.
Alongside its port facilities, the city has developed as a milling and meat-packing centre for the region. A large complex run by Swift produces products such as corned beef for export.
In the last century, there have also been dramatic increases in the growth of soybeans, which are in demand for foodstuffs, vegetable oil and other products.
