The cell cycle
Interphase
-
G1 checkpoint: The cells get checked by P53 to make sure the DNA doesn't have any mutations and it is ready to move. Before it can move, cyclin has to bind with CDK
G0: rest stage, cells don't grow or divide

Mitosis
prophase: the chromatin starts to form into chromosomes and the nuclear membrane disappears. The centrioles start to appear
metaphase: the spindle fibers froms the centrioles connect to the centromeres in the middle of the chromatids.
anaphase: the spindle fibers start to contract, pulling the chromsomes apart.
telophase: The spindle fibers disappear, the chromosomes decondense, a nuclear membrane starts to form, and the cleavage furrow starts to happen.
cytokinesis: the cytoplasm is split into two, creating two seperate daughter cells.
