This article is useful for our research because it describes the results obtained from a group of high school students regarding the use of authentic material in the development of their EFL classes. Although the study takes place in a different country from ours (Turkey), elements such as the age of the population and the fact that English is not their native language provide us with ideas that we can incorporate into our study. The results showed that the experimental group, who received authentic materials, had significantly higher attitude scores than the control group, who followed the traditional course book.
