Anarchism

Mutalist society would exist in the shell of the state in which a federal system of communities cooperate with each other.
Max Stirner
Institutions such as the state, society and religion are artificial "wheels in the head" which distort reality
People need to cut through these wheels in order to discover the truth, that the are at the center of their own universe and they themselves are their own moral authority
Their is no difference between the state and society as they both act to restrict people and put wheels in their head
Therefore both the state and society should cease to exist and should be replaced through a "union of egotists" in which people work together in non binding agreements
-
Peter Kroptikin
used a scientific approach to argue that humans nature was cooperative, claiming that cooperative species thrived, such as bees and ants
State would have to be overthrown through a revolution and replaced by an Anarcho communist society of voluntary associations in the form of communes
-
Mikhail Bakunin
State should be brought down through the use of "propaganda by the deed" which would be direct action such as strikes, not paying taxes or rent as well as committing violent actions
his ideal society was through the creation of small communes in which there would be total economic equality
These differing communes then would be able to form voluntary agreements with others, based on the labour theory of value.

Emma Goldman
The state is a "cold monster" which corrupts anyone who wields its powers or is persecuted by it, leading to the state being the cause of societal violence
The state has two different ways of doing this, militarism and patriotism
patriotism fuels militarism, leading to the state going to war and "universal slaughter"
-
Militarism included the use of the states power to enforce its laws through the use of the police, suppressing those who dare question its laws
participation in the state is futile and the only way to remove it is through a revolution, discounting a approach to internal reform of the state
moreover participation in the state is also corrupted and thought that a lack of liberty was also inherent in the western democracies
