Origin Myth of Snutali
- Alqunatam created the four fathers of all men kind who can go to earth.
- Kaliakis is Raven who goes to the east and brings back Abalone shells then Raven goes to the west and brings back some copper
- Kaliakis and his two brothers turned into human form and sent their raven cloaks back to Alquntam
- Kaliakis and his two brothers built their town site at the Bella Coola called Snutali
- Kaliakis was named The Copper One at his potlatch and they had lots of goat meat to eat.
- Kaliakis wanted to bring light to man kind as they lived in semi darkness. He knew the only way to get the light from Alquntam's house.
- He took the form of raven again and put himself in Alquntam's daughter and Raven was born to her as a son.
- The little son stole the bag which contained the sun and then Raven flew back to earth and brought the sun to humans on earth.
- Kaliakis chose the raven cloak and came down to earth with his 2 brothers and sisters
