How Domain Name Service works- A domain name server takes the domain name and looks up its equivalent network address. The user's request is then forwarded to the server that resides at that network address. A domain name server translates a domain name into an internet address.

Relationship between servers and clients- A client is a computer or process that requests services on the network. A server is a computer or process that responds to a request for service from a client.
web server and client- A server host runs one or more server programs, which share their resources with clients.
file server and client- The File server stores the file. Clients access the file with client software, such as Windows Explorer. The Web Server runs server software. Clients use browser software, such as Windows Internet Explorer, to access web pages on the server.
