Culture
Some practice and commands in Scripture reflect an ancient practise or custom that was unique to the author's culture but foreign to our modern culture
In some cases only the principle behind the ancient custom is authoritative.
In other cases the ancient practice may be appropriate, even though it is foreign to secular culture
