Christmas is a time for love and giving and spending time with family but scrooge does the opposite and spends his christmas in isolation

it could be argued how important time is in an a Christmas carol this is shown through the use of the character of the ghost of Christmas past .this is best seen when the character of the ghost of Christmas past shows Scrooge his past and how he was forced into unfair circumstances this use of time is critical in a Christmas carol as it's a major Turing point for scrooges redemption arc.
