Motor neurons - pass messages form the nervous system to the other tissues in the body, like muscles
Central Nervous System
Spinal Cord
The Spinal Cord is a columnar nerve tissue that stems from the base of the skull down to the central part of the back
It sends motor commands to the body coming from the central nervous system, and vise versa as well as coordinate reflexes.
Brain
Cerebrum
Is the largest part of the brain. It is divided into two parts, the left and the right. It is responsible in complex cognitive functions such as problem solving, logic, thinking, etc.
Cerebellum
Responsible in the body's balance. Plays vital role in language, learning.

Pons
This handles the subconscious processes like sleeping, and breathing
Brainstem
Is responsible for many vital functions like consciousness, breathing, blood pressure, heart rate, and sleep
Diencephalon
Thalamus - This acts as a channel or station for sensory information. It directs signals to different parts of the cerebral cortex
Hypothalamus - Responsible in regulating various physiological processes including temperature, hunger, thirst, and controls the functions of the pituitary gland.
