It can be difficult to know how and what to apply
Do I need to apply verses from the Old Testament?
there are are verses we can obey directly
this is called specific direct application
there are verses we can apply the principle of the command
this is called general indirect application
Application is very important!
the purpose of scripture is to change people
Application is a process
An individual should ask themselves these questions:
Am I teachable?
Am I open to what God
wants me to learn,
even if its hard to hear?
Am I honest with my imperfections?
Am I willing to hear from others?
Application needs to be applied!
Often we can apply God's word to relationships
relationship with God
relationship with yourself
relationship with others
relationship with Satan
