EXPERIMENT 01: SODIUM PHOSPHATE ORAL SOLUTION
DISPENSING PROCEDURE
Weigh: Sodium phosphate ( 22.20 g), Citric Acid ( 7.80 g), Sodium benzoate ( 0.12 g)
Measure liquids: Glycerin (9 mL), purified water (60 mL)
COMPOUNDING PROCEDURE
heat: 60 mL p-water in a beaker
Add: Sodium phosphate gang madissolve
Follow ilagay si Citric acid
Remove from heat and add glycerin
Add sodium benzoate
Stir gang maddisolve
PACKAGING PROCEDURE
Filter and obtain clear liquid
Add purified water through filter para mameet si volume
Put in amber
PRODUCT EVALUATION
Color: Clear
Taste: bitter
Appearance: Liquid

EXPERIMENT 05: PARACETAMOL ORAL SUSPENSION
DISPENSING
Weigh: Sucrose (20 g), Paracetamol (2.40 g), Acacia gum (0.83 g)
Measure: P-H2O ( 20 mL), Menthol, P-H2O ( 60 mL)
COMPOUNDING
Simple syrup: 20 g: 20 mL, set aside
suspend acacia gum in syrup
add: Na benzoate
incorporate flavor
Gradually add APAP powder to gum mixture
homogenizer: until creamy and viscous
PACKAGING
120 mL amber
EVALUATION
COLOR: pink
ODOR: minty and cool
TASTE: sweet and minty
UNIT LABEL: 120 mg/5mL
EXPERIMENT 03:ZINC CHLORIDE MOUTHWASH
DISPENSING PROCEDURE
DAY 01: WEIGH: Zinc chloride ( 6.00 g), xylitol (1.00 g), menthol ( 0.50 g)
DAY 01: MEASURE: purified water (60 mL), ethyl alcohol ( 1.50 mL
), cinnamon oil ( 0.50 mL)
DAY 02: F,D and C colorant and purified talc
COMPOUNDING PROCEDURE
DAY 01
beaker: 30 mL water: zinc chloride + saccharin gum
test tube: ethyl alcohol + cinnamon oil, set aside
Mortar: menthol crystals + add to zinc chloride saccharin sodium bulk
Transfer bulk to erlenmeyer flask
incorporate alcohol
incorporate remaining p-water
put stopper and let macerate (24 - 48 hrs.)
DAY 02
incorporate colorant, shake for few minutes
add pinch of talc
pass through nylon filter, until clear

Fill sterilized amber

EXPERIMENT 04: SULFADIAZINE-SULFAMERAZINE-SULFAMETHAZINE ORAL SUSPENSION
PROCEDURES
DISPENSING PROCEDURES
weigh: sucrose (20 g), veegum (0.83 g), sulfadiazine ( 2.12 g), sulfamethazine (2.12 g), sulfamerazine (2.12 g)
Measure: p-water (20 mL), banana flavor, p-water (60 mL)
COMPOUNDING PROCEDURE
syrup: 20:20 mL
beaker: suspend veegum powder with simple syrup
add: sodium citrate
incorporate banana flavor
Mortar: premix sulfa powders
add: slowly, sulfa drugs to gum-syrup
homoegenizer: pass bulk suspension until homogenous and creamy

Fill 120 mL amber

EXPERIMENT 02: AMMONIUM CHLORIDE SYRUP
DISPENSING PROCEDURE
WEIGH; 17 g sucrose, Ammonium chloride (1.50 g), Sodium citrate (2.50 g), Methyl parben ( 0.12 g)
Measure: 20 mL p-water, glycerin (5.00 mL), lemon oil ( 5 gtts.), ethyl alcohol 95% (5.00 mL)
COMPOUNDING PROCEDURE
Simple syrup ( 17g:20 mL)
Another beaker: heat 25 mL of water
remove from heat
Heat and dissolve: ammonium chloride, sodium citrate, and citric acid
faster dissolution: back to stove
Test tube:methyl paraben (5 mL) + purified water
add: lemon oil + glycerin: in simple syrup
Add preserative to bulk solution
Add simple syrup mixture, stir well
gradually add alcohol
PACKAGING PROCEDURE
filter, until clear liquid
Add: purified water to meet volume

TASTE: Sweet sour
