sirens - half fish half women whos singing who captivate anyone who heard it into jumping into the water and then getting killed by them
Lernaean Hydra - a serpentine water monster with several heads in Greek mythology and Roman mythology. Its lair was the lake of Lerna in the Argolid, which was also the site of the myth of the Danaïdes. Lerna was reputed to be an entrance to the Underworld
gorgons - Gorgons are shown with broad, round heads, serpentine locks of hair, large staring eyes, wide mouths, tongues lolling, the tusks of swine, large projecting teeth, flared nostrils, and sometimes short, coarse beards.
harpy - a half-human and half-bird, often believed to be a personification of storm winds.
charybdis - The sea monster Charybdis was believed to live under a small rock on one side of a narrow channel. Opposite her was Scylla, another sea monster, that lived inside a much larger rock. The sides of the strait were within an arrow-shot of each other, and sailors attempting to avoid one of them would come in reach of the other. To be "between Scylla and Charybdis" therefore means to be presented with two opposite dangers
american
wendigo - often said to be a malevolent spirit, sometimes depicted as a creature with human-like characteristics, which possesses human beings. It is said to cause its victims a feeling of insatiable hunger, the desire to eat other humans, and the propensity to commit murder. In some representations, the wendigo is described as a giant humanoid with a heart of ice, whose approach is signalled by a foul stench or sudden unseasonable chill.
skinwalkers - a type of harmful witch who has the ability to turn into, possess, or disguise themselves as an animal
mothman - a strange creature reported to haunt the Charleston and Point Pleasant areas of West Virginia between November 1966 and December 1967, was also sporadically reported to be seen prior to, and after, those dates, with some sightings coming as recently as 2005. Most observers describe Mothman as being 5 to 7 feet tall creature with wings and large reflective red eyes
bigfoot - also commonly referred to as Sasquatch, is a large and hairy human-like mythical creature alleged by some to inhabit forests in North America, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. Bigfoot is featured in both American and Canadian folklore, and has become an enduring icon in popular culture
the grafton monster - a large, humanoid bipedal creature with no visible head, and covered in slick, white seal-like skin and seemingly nine feet tall and about four feet wide.

nian - a beast in Chinese mythology. According to Chinese mythology, the nian lives under the sea or in the mountains. The Chinese character nian more usually means "year" or "new year"
yeren - a cryptid apeman reported to inhabit remote, mountainous regions of China, before solidifying into the modern legend of the yeren. Generally, they are described as savage, strong, and fast-moving, living in mountain caves and descending only to raid villages in search of food or women
chi - meaning either "a hornless dragon" or "a mountain demon", Hornless dragons were a common motif in ancient Chinese art, and the chi was an imperial roof decoration in traditional Chinese architecture
Nine-tailed fox - a mythical fox entity originating from Chinese mythology. In Chinese folklores, foxes are depicted as spirits possessed of magic powers. These foxes are often depicted as mischievous, usually tricking other people, with the ability to disguise themselves as a beautiful man or woman
qilin - a legendary hooved chimerical creature that appears in Chinese mythology, and is said to appear with the imminent arrival or passing of a sage or illustrious ruler. Qilin are a specific type of the lin mythological family of one-horned beasts

Akhekh - All descriptions of the creature have it as a quadruped with wings, though different sources diverge: one description is that of an Oryx with a bird's wings and beak as well as serpent's tail, while French archaeologist Paul Pierret gave it in a book of his as a winged lion akin to the griffin of European mythology. Ancient egyptian myth writes of the Akhekh living in the deserts west of the Nile
aani - the dog-headed ape sacred to the Egyptian god Thoth.
sphinx - a mythical creature with the head of a human, the body of a lion, and the wings of an eagle.
griffins - a legendary creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion, and the head and wings of an eagle with its talons on the front legs
serpopards- an animal with the body of a leopard and the long neck and head of a serpent. However, they have also been interpreted as "serpent-necked lions"
scottish
kelpie - a shape-shifting spirit inhabiting lochs in Irish and Scottish folklore. It is usually described as a grey or white horse-like creature, able to adopt human form. Some accounts state that the kelpie retains its hooves when appearing as a human
cat sith - a fairy creature resembling a large black cat with a white spot on its chest, They believed that it could steal a person's soul, before it was claimed by the gods, by passing over a corpse before burial thus people would use various methods to distract the cat sith away from the body before burial
cu sith - a mythical hound found in Irish folklore and Scottish folklore, It is usually described as having a shaggy, dark green coat and being as large as a small cow
Nuckelavee - the nuckelavee has a man's torso attached to a horse's back as if it were a rider. The male torso has no legs, but its arms can reach the ground from its position on top of the equine body, the legs of which have fin like appendages. The torso has a large head, possibly as much as 3 feet in diameter that rolls back and forth. The monster described by Tammas has two heads; the equine head has an enormous gaping mouth that exudes a pungent, toxic vapour, and a single giant eye like a burning red flame. A particularly gruesome detail is that the nuckelavee has no skin
lochness monster - a mythical creature in Scottish folklore that is said to inhabit Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. It is often described as large, long-necked, and with one or more humps protruding from the water

Jorōgumo- a half spider half woman that lures people to kill and feed on them
samebito - a shark like humanoid with inky black skin. emerald green eyes and a beard like a dragon
ushi oni - a spider with an ox head and a claw at the end of each of their 6 legs and apparently poisonous
kitsune/kyubi - a fox spirit that can shapeshift into a woman to lure men to kill
Gashadokuro - a spirit that takes the form of a giant skeleton made of the skulls of people who died in the battlefield, and is 10 or more meters tall. Only the eyes protrude, and some sources describe them as burning yellow or green
nue - a Japanese chimera having the head of a monkey, the limbs of a tiger, the body of a Japanese raccoon dog, and the front half of a snake for a tail.
Bake-kujira - a skeleton whale that is accompanied by unknown fish and weird birds. It takes its revenge against people who hunt whales or eat whale meat, and does so by cursing them with plagues and fire
baku - Japanese supernatural beings that are said to devour nightmares. They originate from the chinese Mo. According to legend, they were created by the spare pieces that were left over when the gods finished creating all other animals
slavic
babayaga - an ogress who steals, cooks, and eats her victims, usually children. she lives with two or three sisters (all known as Baba Yaga) in a forest hut that spins continually on birds' legs
leshy - The leshy is a woodland spirit that takes the form of a giant with tangled green hair and bark-like skin
lady midday - a ghost that looks like a young woman dressed in white that roamed field bounds. She assailed folk working at noon, causing heatstrokes and aches in the neck; sometimes she even caused madness
cornflower wraith - a woman that appears in fields of crops and can attack those she thinks deserve it by breaking their legs, neck and bones.
werewolves - people who would transform into a wolf humanoid when it becomes a full moon
aztec
Mishipeshu - It has the head and paws of a giant cat but is covered in scales and has dagger-like spikes running along its back and tail.
Ahuizotl - The ahuizotl is a legendary creature in Aztec mythology. It is said to lure people to their deaths. The creature was taken as an emblem by the ruler of the same name, and was said to be a "friend of the rain gods"
nagual - a human being who has the power to shapeshift into their tonal animal counterpart
huay chivo - a half-man, half-beast creature, with burning red eyes. It is reputed to be an evil sorcerer who can transform himself into a supernatural animal, usually a goat, dog or deer, in order to prey upon livestock
Cipactl - a primeval sea monster, part crocodilian, part fish, and part toad or frog, with indefinite gender. Always hungry, every joint on its body was adorned with an extra mouth
inuit
amarok - a gigantic wolf in Inuit religion, said to stalk and devour any person foolish enough to hunt alone at night. Unlike wolves who hunt in packs, amaroks hunt alone.
Akhlut - an orca-like composite animal that takes the form of a wolf when on land, and is sometimes depicted as a wolf-orca hybrid
Tariaksuq - a humanoid creature associated with shadows, invisibility and obscurity. they are not visible by looking straight at them. In looking directly at them, they either disappear into the separate world which they occupy, apart from our own, or they are only seen for the shadow they cast.
nordic
kraken - a legendary sea monster of enormous size, etymologically akin to a squid or octopus, said to appear in the sea between Norway and Iceland. It is believed the legend of the Kraken may have originated from sightings of giant squid, which may grow to 12–15m in length
draugr - Draugr live in their graves or royal palaces, often guarding treasure buried with them in their burial mound. They are revenants, or animated corpses with a corporeal body, rather than ghosts which possess intangible spiritual bodies.
valkyries - one of a host of female figures who guide souls of the dead to the god Odin's hall Valhalla. Valkyries also appear as lovers of heroes and other mortals, where they are sometimes described as the daughters of royalty, sometimes accompanied by ravens and sometimes connected to swans or horses.
spanish/hispanic
chupacabra - it is generally described as a heavy creature, reptilian and alien-like, roughly the size of a small bear, and with a row of spines reaching from the neck to the base of the tail, while in the Southwestern United States it is depicted as more dog-like
la llorona - a vengeful ghost in Mexican folklore who is said to roam near bodies of water mourning her children whom she drowned in a jealous rage after discovering her husband was cheating on her
lo coco - it is stated that this shapeshifting being is extremely horrible to look at. The coco is variously described as a shapeless figure, sometimes a hairy monster, that hides in closets or under beds and eats children that misbehave when they are told to go to bed
El Culebrón - an enormous, hairy snake with a gigantic, calf-like head. The creature belongs to the rural countryside of Chile, where it is said to come out at night from dark caves or remote forests and eat basically anything in its path. El Culebrón also has a tesoro-radar, and is said to arrive at the sites of buried treasure 40 days after it’s been buried. Anyone wishing to recover the treasure has to douse the ground with aguardiente, in the hopes that the snake will get turnt off the liquor and let its guard down
La Ciguapa - a hypnotic mythological creature that takes the form of a woman with backwards-facing feet. Ciguapas lurk in the highland mountains and deep forests of the island, waiting for the perfect moment to lure men into the woods and make them disappear. Their long, thick manes, tan skin, and feet make them pretty elusive and prone to outwitting followers

jinn - invisible beings created from a mixture of fire and air or smokeless fire, morally ambivalent creatures, can convert to Islam.
ifrit - a demon that has monstrous deformities, such as claw-like or thorny hands, flaming eyes or seven heads, often tempting people to commit sin
Shadhavar - shadhavars are unicorn-like creatures with one horn that have multiple hollow branches that play beautiful music when the wind passes through
