Formative and summative assesment
Diagnostic assesment
To identify the students' current knowledge before the subject teaching takes place
Surveys: Oral surveys help by watching the quantity of raised hands per question and the quality of the answers
Discussion boards: Quite similar to the survey but the students pass to the board and write what they know
Informal debates: Through conversations and dialogues on different topics the teacher can identify the knowledge
Quizzes: simple multiple-choice tests that are criterion-referenced to determine the right answers
Interviews: brief, private, and 10-minute interview of each student
