council for mutual economic assistance
it would regulate the economic exchanges between the USSR and the communists of Europe

The 38° parallel: the Korean War
Korea was split in two separated by the 38° parallel
Nord = communist (Kim Il-Sung)
south = authoritarian (Syngman Rhee)
The North attacked the south with Russias support
The USA with General MacArthur helped and turned the conflict arround
China helped the North and made the south retreat
in 1953 president Eisenhower ended the war by signing a peace treaty

1953 Lavrentij Berija lead Russia, than Nikita Khruscchev came
as soon as Stalin died the public (in Hungary, Poland and Bulgaria) started protesting
