Salvation: not lost, saved from the world, saved from sins, going to heaven
- Status change Galatians 2:19-21 - caterpillar
Promises and blessings are ours, not just salvation from sins, but a new status with all the benefits that come from it | song promises, can only sing because of justification
Condemnation
-
-
-
peace comes by argueing: yes, we are sinful, but Christ has died for sinners. Yes, we are guilty, but Christ’s blood covers our guilt. Yes, we deserve condemnation, but Christ was condemned in our place.

Conviction
-
When Satan attacks and accuses me, when he tries to knock out the foundation upon which I am firmly planted, when he tries to convince me that my sins are too great. God I am in this state. I am feeling completely discouraged. I have sinned. I ask for forgiveness. Then, I remind the devil, with the authority of Scripture: “God has declared me righteous in the Name of Jesus. I have been justified by the blood of the lamb” Jesus Name. His blood. Word of God.
Conviction HS, Condemnation devil, create wedge between people & God. Condemnation is hopeless. It makes us think, I’m a lost cause. I’ll be chained to my sins forever.
Conviction is a necessary feeling that we should cultivate; condemnation is a lie that we should throw off.
Ministry
-
If you have been forgiven, you have also been set free.
Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Promises: I put my faith in Jesus, my anchor to the ground
