BIXI - this is a dragon with the shell of a turtle and it thought to be one of nine sons of the dragon king. there are sculptures that have been created around east asia and people traditionally rub the statues as a sign of good luck
LUDUAN - this is a chinese creature that has the head of a lion, the horn of a rhino, the body of a dragon, the paws of a bear, the scales of a fish, and the tail of an ox. it is believed to be able to travel 5500 miles in a day and can speak all world languages. a legend claims that a ludan appeared to Genghis Khan and convinced him to stop his efforts to conquer india
DRAGON KING - the "Dragon king" is also known as the "Dragon God" and it is a chinese water and weather God hei s thought to own every body of water and is the controller of rain. this origined in the 6th century in china during the tang dynasty
JIN CHAN - this is also referred to as "Chan Chuy" and it translates mainly to "money frog" or "money toad" it is a symbol of prosperity in the chinese mythology. it is said to appear during a full moon in front of houses or businesses that are about to revieve good news
greek mythology
charybdis - this is a sea monster that lives inside a rock on a small channel just of the coast of sicily, it is believed that three times a day charybdis would swallow a huge amount of water before belchin it up and therefore creating a giant whirlpool that is able to drag ships down in some variations of the story it is said that charybdis was simply a large whirlpool rather than a sea monster
argus panoptes - this is believed to be a giant monster that was covered in countless eyes. he is also believed to be a loyal and unsleeping servant to the goddess hera. in her jealousy hera had sent argus to gaurd a lover of heras husband zues called IO . however zues sent hermes to liberate IO and hermes killed argus.
basilisk - this is a legendary reptile in mythology history and is said to be a serpent king, who causes death to whoever looks into its eyes. according to the naturalis historia (a aincient book of stories) the basilisk is no longer than a 12 inches and is so venemous that it leaves a trail of venom as it roams.
gegenees - these are believed widely in greek mythology to be a race of six armed giants that inhabit an island called doliones. it is said that jason and the argonauts (a group of greek heros) landed on the island of doliones and fought the gegenees and ended up winning

fafnir - this is believed to be a very brave dwarf who was chose by his father to guard their house. however one of his brothers was slain by odin and his father asked for compensation and odin approved this caused fafnir to be taken over with greed and kill his father to acquire the riches of gold and jewels this caused him to be full of greed and changed into a dragon to guard his riches. however he was later slayed by sigurd.
kraken - the kraken is an giant sea monster that resembles a squid or an octopus. they are said to appear in the sea between norway and iceland and they may have been sightings of the giant squid. it has a reputation of pulling down ships and it depicted in many pictures to emerge from the sea and drag a ship down.
jormungandr - this is a giant serpent that is believed to live in the world ocean and it is so big it wraps round the world and bites its own tail, it is also known as the "world serpent" it is believed that when the jormungandr releases its tail, ragnarok ( the final battle of the world) will begin.
nidhogg - this is believed to be a dragon that gnaws at the roots of the world tree. this is also believed to be a dragon that is very aggressive and it is widely believed to be a villain in norse mythology. the dragon lives up to its name as it chews the corpses of the inhabitants of nastrond; those guilty of murder, adultery and oath breaking
